“Securing passwords (im)properly” by Sasha Stankovic
The presentation was born out of authors disbelief on how many poorly password management implementations he has encountered and still does even nowadays.
There are a lot of misconceptions on how to secure passwords properly, probably due to the abundance of misinformation on the web.
It is one of those things that's so simple to implement, but yet so many people get it wrong.
Luckily the problem of securing passwords has already been solved, so there are no excuses for doing it poorly (or not doing it at all).
This presentation will hopefully raise an awareness about its importance and highlight the best practices, using what .Net framework flavors have to offer in security arena.

“Implementing cloud architectures on Azure - scalable web applications“ by Dejan Zdravkovski
This presentation is related to practical implementation of the cloud computing paradigm by using Microsoft Azure cloud computing platform and services. We will initially analyze the process of migrating monolith legacy web application to Microsoft Azure. Beside the fact that this is doable, we will identify the technical limitations of deploying such software architecture on the cloud. The way forward solution for these limitations would include implementing scalable, performant and cloud-ready web applications that could be easily deployed on Microsoft Azure. We will finish with conclusion on the technical benefits of cloud architectures, but also additional segments that need to be taken into consideration when using cloud computing provider services.
4. 20:00 - 21:00
TheLionTalk Panel with the presenters and guest participants + questions from the audience.
