“WebAssembly: Bring your native code into browser” by Xhevat Ibraimi

- WebAssembly is relatively new technology, that allows developers to reuse the existing native code(c#/java/c++/python) in browser

- If you need the best performance ever, maybe JS is not the right choice, maybe WebAssembly can be right answer

- We all know the headache that javaScript can bring, especially on large projects. Striving to be as much stable as we can while keeping the backward compatibility, but being unable to use the latest features of ECMAScript such as arrow functions and async/await

- With WebAssembly we can bring our native, and most importantly, already tested code into the browser, keeping the best practices we are used to, and not worrying for cross browser issues”

“Real-time data stream processing with Apache Flink“ by Risto Panchevski

For today’s event I have chosen topic of real-time data processing with focus on speed and performance. Presentation will be consistent of presenting of Service-oriented architecture, which will aim to process data flow in real time, obtained from different data sources, while defining the manner of processing by each source accordingly. The real-time data stream processing system is envisaged to consist several components that communicate with one another. With this approach of building a service-oriented architecture, it is possible to easily scale each component according to the needs of the system and simplify the possibility of eventual extension or changes within each system segment. For this implementation, open source frameworks will be used, Apache Flink will be used as a framework for real-time data stream processing and Apache Kafka will be used for developing a messaging system. We, as engineers, although Microsoft oriented, should think about incorporating various systems\technologies in order to get great benefit for our customer and solve his problem in best possible manner. Let’s see how (C# or) Microsoft oriented developer fits this picture…

Risto Panchevski - I am software developer with 5+ years of experience. In my professional life, have used wide range of technologies, frameworks and platforms from the Microsoft technology ecosystem. I enjoy designing clean APIs, writing maintainable code, digging into data science and IoT enthusiast. I have Master Degree in Software Engineering and I currently work as Senior Software Developer in Seavus and Trainer in SEDC.
